  what do you need. kung rooting lang need mo then go ahead it won't brick your phone. unlocking your bootloader is only needed if you want to use other kernels for custom roms. check androidevolved.com para may idea ka about rooting and installing custom roms.

  i will try it later paps..thanks a lot.. by the way my purpose is to flash a custom rom like zelly cream..upon reviewing this rom it seems to be the perfect custom rom because it enhance the battery life which is my primary reason

  then you have two choices in unlocking your bootloader. you can choose the official unlocking of bootloader found here (http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/unlock/step1) or you can try using the flashtool. link (http://www.androidgadgematic.com/2012/07/easily-unlock-sony-xperia-any-phone.html) I've done the later in my x10 mini and it goes out very well. hindi ko lang sure sa xperia mini wala kasi akong unit to test it hehe! anyways goodluck basa basa lang bro, google is your friend. if hesitant ka you can try youtube. play and pause lang yun. visual na ang step-by-step procedures so less prone ka magkamali.

  1. I need to downgrade to GB first to root.
  
  2. After downgrade and rooting, i can flash custom rom na
  2.a. Which JB rom is "perfect" per se. Gusto ko sana yun no lags, fast UI, good batt life. Im not into games so much. but social network apps and youtube is a must.
  2.b. Must have good camera function din. Sayang naman kung mawala itong feature ng mini HD.
  
  3. What kernels do I flash? Im clueles about this.
  
  4. Bootloader? Ano 'to?
  
  Basically ang alam ko lang is mag install ng CWN and install ng custom rom ng NOTE2 ko. Since parang mas luma itong xperia mini, iba yata ang procedures ginagawa dito. Please help me guys.

  Sir AFAIK wala pang Jelly bean na HD ang video recording kasi wala tayo LIBS na galing kay SONY. SO Stock or modded rom na ICS at GB lang ang may HD recording. Tapos mas stable parin ang stock GB kesa sa mga JB at ICS kaya ako di nagunlock bootloader kasi mawawala DRM ko since 12w17 ang date ng mini ko. Sayang naman functionality ng mga like lalo sa music player pag nawala :(

  anyway, i did it. unlock bootloader. install free xperia project CM10. and i like it.
  
  tama po mawawala ang DRM pag nag unlock bootloader. but that function is for buying songs online. which we don't. we download song and use different music player apps anytime we want.
  
  regarding the OS, i was using stock ICS before. and it was crappy. now i'm in cm10 Jellybean, user experience is leaps and bounds compared to stock ICS.
  
  HD video recording will be gone but as explained ng developer ng rom, this function doesn't really do well. since it is capturing at 30fps only.
  
  Personally, I'd give up the DRM and HD video recording for a smooth fluid user experience which when we use our phones most of the time to use for calls and texts.
  
  * on a side note, I only use my xperia mini for calls and texts, FB, Instagram, wechat and viber. Purely social networking lang. I tried browsing but not happy with it. screen is too small and mabagal.
  
  I also installed Evenbetter T9 keypad. mas madali mag type kesa sa qwerty. i got big fingers.

  congrats sir! :D ako kasi hilig ko ung mga like function sa xperia ko eh kaya need ko DRM. Tsaka Gigerbread(Stock GB) padin talaga in terms of solid performance and bug free OS ng android. Base sa mga nabasa ko lamang parin sa smoothness ang stock GB compare sa CM9.1/CM10/10.1

  Hi TCP Community / Xperia Mini Pro SK17i Users,
  
  Ask ko lang kung sino po nakakaalam mag transfer ng Inbox Messages to PC as a
  .doc - Document File or .csv for MS Excel? Tried using Sony PC Companion but there's no options for copying or even transferring messages to file. If may nakakalam, just let me know po., really appreciate your help.

  Mga sir pa help naman po. Namiss calibrate ko po masyado yung battery ng xperia mini ko ang nangyari ngayon di na siya gumagana pag hindi nakakabit sa charger. Ano po gagawin ko? Patulong po. Thanks :D

  download Android tuner, then go to battery tab, click menu, then battery calibration set the original battery capacity of your phone.

  may nabili ako ulit na mini pro. ganda talaga ng mga ganitong unit. may konting scratch sa back cover pero presentable pa din. meron pa ba sa inyo gumagamit nito. na miss ko lang at cguro for keep na ito.

  pare pareho na looks ng cell natin ngayon kaya kung minsan pag naka lagay sa ibabaw ng table nagkakamali ka ng kuha. ngayon lagi napapansin mini pro pag isinasama ko sa table. tanong lagi kung anong cellphone yan? ang cute naman lagi ang comment.
