Hi mga sirs, meron ako S7 edge from the US at naka AT&T na yung rom nya. naka open line naman sya kaso hindi ko sya ma update sa OREO. pwede ba syang iflash para maging oreo na? Model number : SM-G935A

Hi mga Sir, possible pa po ba ma downgrade os ng s7 edge flat ko. Nougat na kse sya need ko sya madowngrade sa marshmallow. And kung may marecommend kayo na marunong magdowngrade within metromanila.

kaya nyo po yan, marami pong tutorial sa youtube on how to flash your phone. 500-1000 din po ang pagpa-flash last time I checked. basta susundin nyo po kung ano ang pinapakita sa video, wala pong masama na mangyayari sa phone nyo. things to check... fully charged phone, use a laptop with good batteries in case of power failure or desktop with ups, correct phone model and firmware for that model, decent usb cables, time and patience... ^_^

ang mahirap and frustrating lang na part dyan is pag di madetect ni odin yung device nyo... meaning di na-install ng maayos yung drivers, or nalimutan nyo mag-restart... other than that, its pretty basic. but then again, kung di po kayo comfortable, you could try looking in olx around your area kung may nag-ooffer ng upgrade/downgrade service at a reasonable price. ^_^

@thachad098, thanks sir. so yung SM-G935A at SM-G935U is the same lang ba? at wala bang reported issue sa mga naka upgrade? kaya gusto ko mag flash kasi naka disable yung data option sa phone ko. kailangan ko pa pumunta sa Mobile connection kung gusto ko mag DATA. kaya medyo hassle talaga. at pag nag flash ako gamit ng link na bigay mo. mawala ba yung AT&T bloatwares na rin?

ganyan ginagawa ko sir sa S8+ ng wife ko, take note na every update ng phone eh mawawala ulit yung toggle so kailangan ulit gawin yan. it takes about 1-2mins after the initial setup is done.

@thachad098 , mukhang masyadong complicated yung pag enable ng data toggle. naka download na ako ng OREO na pang international variant, try ko iflash mamaya ang rom ko para tanggal na rin yung AT&T bloatwares.

double check nyo lang sir kung pwede i-flash ang international version FW sa AT&T, kasi ang alam ko po ang mga US variant is SD while and international is Exynos. mahirap na, baka ma-brick.
yung steps po ng pag enable ng toggle is far more simple and safer than flashing. worst case scenario, mawawala lahat ng quick toggle buttons and you could simply attempt it again to restore everything.
research nyo na lang po sir lahat ng options nyo then kung saan po kayo pinaka-comfortable, yun na lang po ang execute nyo.

@thachad098 , thanks for the warning. but i was able to get it working. using this thread in XDA forum - FW-8.0.0] S7 EDGE SNAPDRAGON - UNIVERSAL OREO G935UUES4CRG3 July 1/2018 sec and kaso nag boot loop ng ginamit ko yung odin - Odin3_v3.13.1.zip at saka nag error sha256. but ang fix lang pala is use the patched odin - Odin3 v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD. so naka Oreo na ako ngayon yey! at meron na rin ako na receive kanina na system update via OTA. so 100% working sya sa akin.

try official samsung service centre, nung nagpagawa ako 2 years ako alam ko 200-300 lang yung binayaran ko. medyo naka-angat na yung likod, nung una ni-reheat lang nila and nilapat at di na nga ako pinagbabayad pero sabi ko gusto ko na ma-reseal ng ayos so nilagyan nila ng bagong adhesive and around ganun ang singil nila back then. sa may rob manila po ako nagpaservice.

I've been back reading this thread, I just wanted to ask regarding the CSC thing. Yung s7 edge ng gf ko kaka expire lang ng contract from globe. So we asked for the unlock code, nag text naman yung globe after a week pero as posted by jopat naka mentioned dun "Please note that non-Globe SIM cards can use calls and texts only."
So it means, it cannot be used with mobile data, so parang wala rin kwenta. I've tried to read some more and saw the post about changing CSC thing pero it only states regarding SIM2 having mobile data.
So my question now. After unlocking the the S7 edge with the code from globe. I need still to change the CSC to SMA (smart)? para gagana yung mobile data sa smart sim on SIM1? I'm only concern regarding SIM1 with mobile data on Smart kasi I cannot use SIM2 dahil lalagyan ko sya ng SD card (as hybrid/shared yung slot nya for SD card). As others have posted, it worked on SIM2 but I have no clue on SIM1.
Also, will still I get firmware updates with the phone? As of now wala pa dito yung fone sa akin, so nag tanong lang ako head.

YES. I had a Note 5 before na Globe-locked dati pero openline na, hindi ka makakapag-data using Smart. CSC changed, okay na, nakainstall na ng config.

Guys, changing CSC from GLB to XTC works, unlocked na po yung globe unit, maka pag mobile data na...
pero make sure mag request muna kayo sa globe to have it unlocked once out of contract na kayo.

Guys, anybody has problem with the transparency of the status bar (the one with the clock, battery, etc. icons on the top of the screen), masyadong faint sya, na hirap makita esp. if may white background ka. Nabasa ko na affected lang to sa mga nag update sa oreo.
