GoMo sim

  • @july29 you are porting in to Gomo or porting out? if Gomo na sim mo, you have no use of 8080 number, if porting to Globe naman, if you have access to *143# then 8080 will be good
  • @DON2003 I know it is for globe, what I meant was yung mga premium numbers lalo na yung sa bank. Kasi Security Bank naka link sa number ko, sometimes need ko magsend request sa premium number nila which is 2086, can not be sent ang status lagi sa gomo.
  • @july ah ok, actually it is not recommended to use Gomo for otp as they have no physical store and no database on the registration of your number, so anything happens, pahirapan mag replace ng sim, kahit na I was told they can replace the sim and number but there is no clear process to do it,

    better stay with a low cost postpaid plan for all otp needs so it is properly registered to your info and can cut the line immediately and temporarily and reactivate once replaced with a new sim, don't use prepaid number for your otp need, just my 2 cents lang, all up to you

    Gomo is only good for backup use or second sim use or for tipid use lang, plug into sim 2 and forget it, you have data on the go always and anytime when wifi is out, call and txt to any network without register to a promo, but only once in a while lang, both not for heavy use, cheaper pag regular promo on Globe for heavy unli uses.
  • @DON2003 I already changed my mind. I was able to sell my easy switch sim kit. Sayang opportunity na to. I know Gomo operates din sa ibang bansa and mas better pa yung service nila dun kesa sa what is offered here.

  • @DON2003 di ako nanghinayang. I can still transfer naman sa ibang network, maybe wait it out a bit since this is still new dito. Mabagal process.

    I got my USC via appointment thru virtual store ng Globe. May tumawag na agent from the store branch na napili ko and vinerfy lang yung number and identity ko, sinend na agad USC. Conversation lasted around 3 mins. Sobrang dali lang pala. Yung waiting time for your appointment and yung paglipat na sa network na gusto mo, dun nagtatagal process.

  • Nope, 15 days validity ng USC number. Pagkakuha diretso mo na i-apply sa chosen network mo para maprocess agad. Base sa nabasa ko, if ever na lilipat ka ulit network dapat nakalipas na ang 60 days from the first transfer.
  • pag di nagamit ang USC puwede request another 1 anytime or need after 60 days?
    am planning to port my sun, cherry, tnt and tm sim to Globe and Gomo kasi, sana puwede txt lang code to receive USC and not hassle to go to center pa

    Did you still fill-up the form after the confirmation SMS for virtual appointment? I can't seem to find any option for USC. MNP naman goes to either prepaid to postpaid or vice versa, or other network going to globe. Walang option for leaving.
  • I haven't received the GOMO switch easy SIM I ordered on October 15!!!
  • Update: Ok na. Nilipat ko yung SIM sa android phone at doon siya na activate.

    Gaano katagal bago mareceive yung SMS confirmation? (Easy Switch SIM)

  • Finally got the USC from my backup globe sim. Akala ko mabilis pero ang labo ng kausap ko sa virtual appointment and kinailangan pa pumunta ng store. Even then ang gulo nila. To make a long story short eh yung dapat na 5 minutes naging 1.5 days. Anyway mabuti mabilis lang processing ng gomo for the transfer. Now waiting na lang sa switch sim

  • Hindi ko alam sa kanila. The person who called me up for the virtual appointment eh mukhang newbie so daming excuses. Very clear naman when I made the appointment na MNP ang concern pero the person who called wala daw equipment so she needed to check and call back then check and call back again blah blah. Tapos in the end my sim daw shows up as a retailer sim so hindi pwede i-port. When I went to the store, that's one of the first things i asked. Does my sim show up as a retailer sim on their system? Hindi daw. So ang labo nila. In any case, at least the person I spoke with in the store has more brains than the initial one so now it's done.

  • Yung USC process if all goes well takes less than 5 minutes. Tumagal lang sakin because of some system error na hindi nila ma-explain and tama na makupad talaga mismo mag tao nila. Even the queuing system tinanong ko. Pagdating sa store, electronic queuing na magkakaroon la SMS para sa queue number and kung pang ilan ka. So I got XX123 tapos pang 2nd in the queue. So hintay ka lang. Then after several minutes, another text na I'm next in line na. So iisipin mo kapag may naging available na csr, ikaw na susunod. After several minutes may text ulit. I'm 3rd in line na daw. Tumayo na ako at naghanap ng kausap. Sabi ko paki explain kung paano from number 2 to number 1 to number 3 eh may automated queuing. Eh hindi masagot. Ayun si bisor ang nagbilin na basta may matapos, tawagin ako. Labo di ba? I guess that's the reason why I left globe decades ago and stayed with smart as my main line. Smart isn't perfect but i don't get these hassles. Ngayon may personal concierge pa so any issue i just call her and things get fixed. Anyway, if your sim doesn't have an issue, isang pitik lang tapos na yan. No hassle dapat. Yung sakin umabot lang 1.5 days dahil sa unexplainable ekek nila na inayos din pero hassle ang kapalit
  • OA masyado mga CS sa store, kay ayaw ko pumunta sa Globe store, lagi nagagalit ako, ako ko magalit, hehe
    feel superior mga yan akala mo executives na you are begging for their service, di ba nila alam na tayo ang ngbabayad sa suweldo nila?

    baka later days na lang ako mag MNP, dami tao yata sa mga malls, di naman mawawala number ko hehe,

    Dumating na gomo easy switch sim ko. Mabilis lang delivery bale 2 days. Tapos after ko ikabit and ilagay yung mga code code na hinihingi for porting, nawala yung signal ko sa globe within 5 mins then after about 45 mins nakakuha na ako ng message na done na ang transfer. So now nagtesting na ako and fully ported na. Naka auto enroll na din ang sim sa 30gb data no expiry.

    what I want to do is port my Cherry sim to GOMO, kasi yan lang nag medyo maganda number that worth porting to,

    sa cherry have to find a way pa, baka sabihin ni Globe di sa kanila yan cherry

  • mine is still activate despite activation date is Jan 24, 2021. still waiting for it to expire and got deactivated.
    AFAIK if it expired, you can't reactivate it even loading it. parang expired sim that will display simcard registration failed if on a nokia bar phone, as in patay na ang sim,

    actually they should have notification when it will expire on the app so you are aware of it, pero wala yata

    My niece's GOMO sim expired last December. Nakalimutan niyang mag-register sa panibagong promo. Na-activate niya yun December 2020. Kaya ayun, nawala na ang mismong signal sa phone.

    Ang masaklap, nakalagay sa Terms & Conditions nila na magte-text sila to remind the user na malapit na mag-expire ang sim card. Pero waley natanggap ang pamangkin ko.

    masaklap eh nitry ko loadan thru gcash 299 at 499 pareho bumawas sa gcash pero di na activate simcard ko..
    WARNING to all GOMO owners.. di talaga totoo ang no expiration nila...
  • yan lang talaga mahirap sa Gomo, they don't have a definite na expiration date, unlike lahat na telco meron pag check ng balance, meron nga sila app pero mukhang ewan naman ang nagagawa, buti pa DITO, sa app nakalagay mismo expiration date ng load.

    dapat ma report sa DTI parang sila scammers din yan bigla mawala signal, kahit na tanongin mo sila di ka nila masagot kailan expire basta daw 1 year, bahala ka na huhula.

    ano yan LMB? baka may pagasa pa yan magpalit ng number. para hati tayo, hehe! sayang yon, try mo rin baka may paraan,

    kaya nga, buti naalala ko password nawidraw ko na sir may 5% fee nga lang, nag start lang ako jan.8 from 17k capital naging 24k na, low profit lang sir barya lang eh 2% daily pinatos ko na kesa sa bank na 4% per annum haha
    kaso ayun nga.. inactive na sim ko so any problem na need ko reset or may code otp na isesend wala ako marereceive,bot lang yung sumasagot wala silang customer service..haaays

    It will expire if you have not made any reload activity in a year or 365 days. (so beware of leap years rin in the future). Nakasulat yan sa FAQ nila noon.

    Sa akin, I activated my SIM Dec 8, 2020 5:45PM. Reloaded last Feb 04, 2021 08:27PM. Reloaded again almost 1 yrs Feb 03, 2022 8:41PM. Nasa app lahat ng timestamps. Buhay naman ang SIM card til today.
  • mine activated Jan 24, 2021 but until now it still active kahit over 365 days na,
    so its still hard to predict when sim will just deactivated,

    if it will go beyond 365 days after activation day then it can also be deactivated without any sign before 365 days, mahirap ang ganyan hula hula, even if you load up, if may glitch system nila you might lost your signal anytime din, if it got deactivated I dont think meron sila magagawa to give you back the number,

    sana meron hard indication when is the expiration day or kahit na expiration of load date para it will serves as a warning load has expired and the sim will be deactivated anytime after so we can be aware,

    really GOMO is not recommended to use as main number and for any e-wallets, online transaction or to receive OTP as sim can became defective without any reason and you have no way to get back your number if you lost your sim, phone got stolen, expired etc etc, so be aware when using Gomo sim with OTP or any money related, always think it as a spare sim for use only, kung mawala eh ok lang just buy another one, yan lang po
